Dope
Jon Stewart made a public service announcement last night. After Rod goes to jail, we will have seen 50% of the last eight Illinois governors go to jail. 48% of murderers end up doing any time.
So kids, if you are trying to choose between becoming Governor or Illinois or a murderer, please keep the above statistics in mind.

So a few fun facts that I've realized about my personal government representatives:
1. I was 8, about to turn 9, when George Ryan assumed office. I'm now 18, about to turn 19. Over half my life will have been spent under corrupt governors.
2. I live in the 5th congressional District. My house representative from the time I was born until I was 5 was Dan Rostenkowski, who ended up serving 15 months in jail for corruption. He was defeated by a Republican, Michael Flanagan, who only got to serve 1 term before being replaced by: Rod Blagojevich, when I turned 7. He was my congressman until he became my governor. Thus, I spent over half my life under corrupt representatives (I know Blago wasn't technically corrupt in the House, but he's corrupt in general).
3. On the other hand, once all the recently elected officials take office, my previous two senators will be Senate Majority Whip and President, my House Rep will be White House chief of staff, and my state senator will be the Illinois Senate president. And my Mayor may or may not be more influential than most of them.
Conclusions? Where I come from, you go big, or you go to jail on charges of corruption.
As parents, we make choices. I knew living in Chicago would be a political risk for my children. I only hope they can extract the positive and leave the negative behind.
According to his official facebook page, Rod Blagojevich's favorite quote is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
My favorite Rod Blagojevich quote is "F--k him! For nothing? F--k him!"
